So little ‘to do’
so much to see
it’s very relaxing
and feels very free
Free to take time
free to explore
free to just be
there’s no need for more
Each destination
simply a place we are going
and all along the way
we’re enjoying…knowing
That the journey is important
and each moment is a gift
we can venture with eyes downcast
or our heads we can lift
To see all the beauty
and behold all the wonder
…the magical creations
both above ground and under
And each step of the way
we can learn something new
about the wonders of the world
and about ourselves, too.

I want to be wanted
I want to be told
how much I am loved
- it’s richer than gold
I want to be pampered
I want to be shown
how my life is precious
- worth more than any gem stone
I want to be noticed
I want to be touched
in a way that says
I am treasured so much
I want to be appreciated
I want to be heard
yet sometimes I don’t
want to say a word…

We are all undecided
at least, all of us have been
some people have figured it out
others keep wondering when
Or if they ever will
decide what they want
and even if they do
- will they go after it or not?
If you are undecided,
take a moment & just be
- nothing is required
you are completely free
Without any restrictions
where would you go?
What would you do?
It’s ok not to know.
Undecided is a statement
but it’s not who you are.
You don’t have to say there
and you may not have to go far
To make a decision
- you can even choose not to decide
- whatever you pick
do it with pride
And appreciate yourself
for making a choice
for taking the time
and using your voice
Indecision is fine
as long as you don’t stay
in it too long…
so go on your way
Decide what you’re doing
and then follow through
- there are children watching
and they’re copying you!

In life, I have learned
That language is a powerful tool
- It can make you feel like a king
Or even feel like a fool
But the feelings come from within
No one can give them to you
You can choose what you feel
Or you can choose to be a victim who
Believes what others say
And leads a disempowering life
Instead of simply exercising choice
To avoid suffering and strife
When you say that you can’t
You’re saying there is no way
But in reality there is…
It’s just what we’re programmed to say
When you use universals
Like all, never, and none
It can leave you feeling stuck
As if decisions are already done
If you use your past experiences
And bring them along with you
You’re living in the past
While predicting the future, too
Things won’t change unless you do
And your words can be the key
To unlock the door to success
Where you are empowered & free!

Full of gratitude
Thankful…
For the right attitude
To see the good
Even when there’s bad
To appreciate
Times both happy and sad
Gratitude is a feeling
Felt deep within your soul
Something to experience
Not something you control
Until you’re grateful for yourself
It’s hard to both give and receive
Gratitude and appreciation
From even those who believe
You must first believe in yourself
And know you are full of worth
That you deserve all the good
Bestowed upon you at birth
No matter what lies
You’ve been led to believe
You can overcome
Breakthrough and achieve
Take one moment
And look deep within
Once you feel it
Go ahead and begin
Give thanks
For all you have and all you are
Appreciate yourself
You are a bright shining star

In life are you following
your purpose driven path?
Or are you walking with the masses
settling for their wrath?
Each day we get to choose
the thought-less or thought-full route.
We can decide what to think ourselves
or let others suggest what to think about.
If you don’t have a purpose
or a path designed for you;
It seems easier to just follow others
than to figure out what to do.
But rarely does that bring fulfillment,
for after a while it’s hard to see,
When we’re walking with the masses,
the difference between you and me.
Yet when you look inside to see
what drives you, what makes you tick;
And that being you leads to happiness
- only then will it start to click.
That it’s more important to venture out
and find your purpose driven path;
Rather than continuing to walk with the masses
and settle for their chosen wrath.
Your life is what you make of it
- you can settle or you can strive;
And only one of those options
will really make you feel alive.

This ring on my finger
reminds me of the day
that we said I do
then went on our way
Down a road unknown
at least to us, before
and since then we’ve been
through many a door
Happiness and sadness
tears of pain, tears of joy
along the way joined
by a little girl & boy
A dozen years now
have passed and still
I can remember it all
and I always will
I love you today
even more than days past
our love continues to grow
and that will make it last
Thank you for being you
and thank you for loving me
together we’ve created
the magic of “we”.

So many missed opportunities
- another chance passes you by
One more moment wasted…
nothing left to do but cry
Cry over all the things
you let slip away;
Cry about all your yesterdays
and how you wasted another day
Or dry your eyes and calm your breath
and take a moment to see
That everything in your past
has brought you where you need to be
And you can continue being a victim
or you can claim victory instead;
For you have survived it all
and the real opportunity is ahead
Embrace your past, envision your future
and enjoy the present, right now;
What you see is what you get
and you get to choose how…
How to see things
- mostly good or mostly bad
And how to react as well
- you can choose to be happy or sad
I think missed opportunities
simply weren’t meant to be
And if you dwell on them
new opportunities are hard to see
So let go of opportunities “lost,”
of chances that have passed you by
And take this moment to spread your wings,
look upon the horizon….and fly!

today i felt my soul expand
beyond time and space
i felt awesomely infinite
yet my spirit had a space
enveloped within all that exists
intermingling with fellow souls
we all expand to fill the space
and though vast, there are no holes
creating a type of safety net
for those still weary or weak
who h ave yet to comprehend
the expansion of which i speak
i feel full, as if enlarged,
bigger than my body, no doubt
you can’t see or touch it
but only sense what it’s about
expansion brings me closer to all
as together, we are one
the expansion, while it feels complete
will always be undone
for there is no beginning
and there is also no end
just the infinite that is…
where all is real, and yet, pretend

Electrical outlet
…cord plugged in
- energy emerges
flow immediately begins
Unseen, unheard
and yet, it’s there,
- powerful presence
out of seemingly thin air
Actually, it’s true
…there’s energy all around
- in all people & all things
it can certainly be found
Some people give off
positive vibrations
- filled with light and love
and joyous, peaceful sensations
Other people take
your energy away
- sucking the life from you,
sometimes leading you astray
So it’s important to take notice
of the energy fields you feel
- although you cannot see them
they are definitely real
Stay plugged into those
who are vibrant & uplifting
- and limit your time with those
who create negative energy shifting
You control the outlets
that you are plugged into
- and you are a more powerful presence
when you stay true to you
