Bubbles

There are Champagne bubbles, carbonation
& bathtub bubbles, too
and bubbles can be blown…
a mouth or machine will do

I love the way that bubbles
dance up in the air
going wherever they want
effortlessly…without care

In the bathtub we can wear them,
soft upon our skin
or simply play with them
over & over again

Bubble gum bubbles
give our mouths something to do
they come in a variety of colors
and all kinds of sizes, too

Bubbles in a drink
will tickle the taste buds & tummy
and I personally think
they make drinks rather yummy

And bubbles are like our emotions
sometimes they fly free
& when something touches them
they can pop suddenly

Chocolate

Oh how I love chocolate though it does not take much
to satisfy a craving, I only need a little munch

White chocolate, dark chocolate, mint, milk & semi-sweet, too
any kind of chocolate will help me get through

Nestle, Ghiradelli, Hersheys or Sees
the brand also does not matter to me

Though I do have a favorite – Ghiradelli dark squares
and when I have them, I’m happy to share

So if you love chocolate, as many people do,
tell me, what is your favorite? And can I share with you?

Joy

Joy is something you can express
through a smile or a song
I believe joy lives inside of us
and has been there all along

But sometimes we forget
- we let other emotions come in
And they can cover up the joy
until we can’t feel it from within

There is still hope, for we can choose
the emotions that we feel
And when we choose to be positive
Our joy we can reveal

So let your joy shine through
for all the world to see
By simply sharing your joy
you’ll help others shine radiantly

Love

Love is patient, love is kind
Love is something individually defined

Love is lasting…without end
Love is shared with family & friends

Love is unconditional, love is forgiving
Love is for those gone as well as for those living

Love is exciting, love is routine
Love is every emotion that lies in between

Love makes life worth living; if you don’t feel it, just believe
That when you are open to it, love you will receive.

Peace on Earth

Peace on earth is a marvelous wish
It is an amazing idea that sounds quite delish

But how is it possible in the world today?
How could we get everyone to join us & play?

The truth is the message must start with you
Embracing and expressing peace, love & patience, too

And while you may be but one in the world
When one touches one, slowly the magic unfurls

If you want peace, then peace you must be
Living as a beam of hope for all to see

Your efforts make a difference; your life can impact
All those you touch and all those touched after that

So strive for peace, let it start with you
And watch what happens, what appears when you do

The first one said, “Oh my this is unpleasant!”
The second said, “We’re just going to be exchanged.”
The third one said, “So much to be rearranged…”
The fourth one said, “I’m ready! Let’s go!”
The fifth one said, “Merry Christmas! Ho, ho, ho!”
Swish went the air as they were rushed out the door
And the five little gift receipts headed back to the store.

5 Little Angels

Five little angels singing hymns of praise
For the birth of Jesus is celebrated these days
The first one sang, “Silent night, holy night”
The second one sang, “All is calm, all is bright”
The third one sang, “‘Round yon virgin, mother & child”
The fourth one sang, “Holy infant so tender & mild”
The fifth one sang, “Sleep in heavenly peace”
And together they repeated, “Sleep in heavenly peace.”
The five little angels watched as He lay
asleep in a manger, cushioned by hay
“Behold! The Prince of Peace,” the five angels proclaimed
as they continued to sing and praise His glorious name.
