Why You’re Here…

Why are you on this earth?

What were you born to do?

If you’re not sure why you’re here

Think how that’s affecting you

Are you living the life you dream

Or settling for something less?

Do you have a purpose & a plan

Or is your life one big mess?

If you’re not living the way you want

Filled with blessings and gratitude

Know that all of that can change

With determination & the right attitude

Follow your purpose with passion

If you don’t know why you’re here

Take some time to think about

What makes you grin ear to ear

What makes you happy, feeling fulfilled

And comes easy for you?

Then take a moment to understand

That the universe benefits when you do

When you follow your purpose in life

Serving others comes naturally

And inspires others to do the same

And follow their life’s mission carefree

Responsibility

Life owes us nothing

We get what we create

Are you creating excuses

Or are you creating a life that’s great?

Stop looking outside yourself

Stop blaming and complaining

Start looking inside yourself

And choose to use the time remaining

To regain control of your life

And live according to what you value

Instead of allowing habits

Be the obstacle that stops you

We control three things in life…

Our thoughts, images and actions

And whether or not you want to believe

This also includes our reactions

Our reactions are often habitual responses,

Conditioned reflexes to life’s events

And these habits can be obstacles

…Obstacles that prevent…

Us from living the life we want

Because we’re afraid of the risk

It seems easier to suffer and complain

Than to admit something better exists

It takes risk to choose to do

Something that may be difficult or unknown

But it is only by taking such action

That we’ll realize how much we’ve grown

And it’s also the only way

We’ll get the life we want and desire

We have to take action and stay in control

While we keep reaching higher & higher.

A Mother’s Love

Something special happens

When a child is born

A woman becomes a mother

And her heart is instantly torn…

Torn wide open from all the love

Bursting from her heart

As the child that was connected to her

After birth is now apart

A part of her that lives and breathes

In a body all its own

A baby that she will care for

With a love like she’s never known

Love never known until

The time called motherhood

A time when simple things are magical

When life is amazingly good

And life is amazingly good

As we remember with this simple prayer

With each child, a mother is born

Both filled with love to share.

I am a Mom…

It wasn’t until I became a Mom

That I fully understood

How much it was possible to love

And how it felt so good

I am thankful for all my mom gave

Her love, her care, her time

And now with children of my own

I give them all of mine

I am also thankful for some things

I didn’t appreciate as a teen

Because I know these things were done in love

Though at the time it couldn’t be seen

I could not see beyond the life

I beheld with my very own eyes

But having children opened by world

~ Providing a pleasant surprise

I can now see all of life around me

And from different perspectives, too

I appreciate life so much more

And there’s something I must do

I must show my children

Each and every day

That I love them unconditionally

And it will always be that way

I will tell them how proud I am

As often as I can

I am so proud to be their Mom

And I am their biggest fan

Envision

I held a little baby

Sleeping in my arms

So tiny, so precious

So full of cuteness and charms

Her head as small as my hand

Her body, fragile and light

It’s amazing to behold something so sweet

And be reminded of all that is right

Despite the troubles in the world

Be it hunger, disease or the economy

This little baby shines as a reminder

Of all that is and can be

Because life is good, I believe

And when you do your best

You will reap the rewards

Though you may first be put to the test

A test of patience, perhaps

Or maybe of desire, of love

For in the end what matters most

Is that we can look down from above

And know that we did all we could

To fulfill our purpose or mission

And life is its own reward

So live the life you envision.
